Since my brother was born at the time I was 8, I've known how to change a diaper, burp a baby and rock one to sleep. My mother used to hold a day care at our home and until the time I was 17, our house always had kids ranging from 3 months old to 10 years old. As my brother got older, my mom decided to quit the daycare and start working with older folks. It is with pride to say that I've really honed my nurturing skills since my brother's birth. In 2008, I became a teen staff for a local Boys & Girls club assisting in the art class for kids in elementary school. In 2010, I started attending a church in San Francisco. Not long after joining the church, I found myself volunteering in the church nursery. What can I say? Babies are just too cute Read more to say no to. 4 years later, I am sitting weekly for a church group, homeschooling for a family, and volunteering weekly to hang out with kids at a, elementary school in Visitacion Valley.
