I was a babysitter around my neighborhood as a teenager and I took a course titled 'Child Development' in college. I have my Associates in Applied Science of Architectural Technology, which I received in North Carolina. I was on the Dean's List. I worked at an optometrist's office as a receptionist and a technician. I have also worked as a waitress and as a pool lifeguard. While most of these accreditations may have little to do with babysitting, I think that they shed some light on my responsible nature and my ability to handle hectic situations. I am originally from North Carolina and I am somewhat new to the area but I am excited to be here and ready to help out some families! I come from a fun-loving family where I have an older sister and a younger brother each two years apart from myself (they are my favorite Read more people on the planet, aside from my parents). I had fantastic parents who taught me to have upstanding morals and manners (treat others as you wish to be treated, always try to leave a place in better condition than you found it, etc.) My parents were always incredibly kind and generous people, which is something I hope to carry on throughout my life. They taught me to have a great deal of respect for all other humans, creatures, and the world in which we live. I understand that the role of a babysitter is not the role of a parent, but to be a positive role model (one who can reflect these things that my parents have taught me) would be a rewarding opportunity for me.
