My name is Ashley and I am a 20 year-old student at the University of San Diego. I absolutely love kids and have been working with kids, tutoring, babysitting, and caring for cousins and other young family members since I was ten years old. Most recently I worked at an elementary after-school program, as well as working as a nanny for two children, ages one and three years old, for a year in San Diego. I took care of the two kids at different hours each day and did everything from playing with them and cooking for them, to bathing them, reading to them, and putting them in bed at night. It was so much fun to get to be a part of their lives and make sure that every day I spent with them was full of growing, learning, playing, and feeling happy and excited. My mom is an Read more elementary school teacher and she raised my brother and I to love learning, sports, nature, adventure, and each other. She is an extremely warm, loving, supportive, involved mother and it is the wonderful childhood that I had and the nurturing way that my parents raised me that I like to share with all of the kids that I care for. Most of all, I love being able to provide a child with a loving and exciting environment where they can learn, explore, grow, play, and use their unique imagination and energy. I have a very youthful and energetic vibe, and truly enjoy the time that I spend caring for children. I am available any day at any time and have a very flexible schedule. I feel comfortable caring for children of any ages, from infants to adolescents. I am also Red Cross certified for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.
