Children have been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I have dedicated my whole life to working with and caring for children. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology (with a large focus on child development) in June 2013 from the University of California Riverside. While in college, I taught school age children at a company called Play-well Technologies. At this company I developed hands on lesson plans which incorporated elements of physics and architecture to allowed children to think, plan and then execute learned concepts. Also, while living abroad in Spain I taught English to school aged children, and lastly I worked as a Disney Princess. Since college, I have worked as a Child Care Attendant where I worked together with parents and other staff members to provide a safe and fun environment for children. I created activities for children, played games, danced and had Read more fun while also attending to all child's needs. I changed diapers, fed newborns and infants, and and got a wonderful amount of experience with children of many different age groups. Lastly, I worked as a Vision Therapist working with children with brain injuries, learning disabilities, and children on the spectrum, to help each child reach their full potential inside and outside of the classroom. The reason I have decided to become a nanny is because I have had lots of experience working with large groups of children, whether that was in the day care setting or in a classroom, and I really want the opportunity to work on a more personal level with children. Being a nanny is the perfect way to work one on one with a child, and to really see their growth throughout each day. Seeing a child grow and learn is extremely rewarding, and is the reason I began working with children at a young age. I hope, through being a nanny, I can help a child grow into being the amazing person they are meant to be.
