I have three rules for the children I babysit. Rule number one is to treat everyone and everything around you with kindness and respect. I am a mother of two and have served 6 years in the military; kindness and respect are two values that I used EVERYDAY. Number two is to have fun, but just not too much! It is so important for children to develop positive childhood memories and to have time to just be a kid. Rule number three is to learn: education can take many forms and be accomplished both in an out of the classroom. I have a Masters in Applied Physics, a B.S. in Chemistry, a minor in Japanese, and a passion for education. I try to instill good values and academic knowledge whenever I get a chance. Background: I have been baby sitting for the past 15 years and it is something that Read more I absolutely enjoy. I have taken 12 units of early childhood development courses and am in the process of completing an "Education for Teachers" course at Miramar College. In my spare time, I spend time with my family, exercise, raise chickens, and am working on starting my own business. I'm willing and able to assist in before or after school care and pickup from Jerebek Elementary School.
