Over the past five summers I have worked at a summer camp at my church and loved every second of it. There are children grades kindergarten to fifth grade that participate. I also baby sat for two different neighbors. The first had one daughter who I babysat regularly for about a year; she was three at the time. The other family has two children, now ages 12 and 13. I have been watching them for the about the past five years, less often now because they are getting older. The older child has a mild case of autism; though I have never been trained to work with special needs children, I do not have a problem with it. I am not currently CPR or First Aid certified, however, I plan on receiving those very soon. I am studying to become an elementary school teacher and think that working with children Read more over my summers would be a perfect fit for me.
