I grew up around a big family so working with kids has always been easy for me and now has grown into a passion. I hope you can find what you're looking for in my qualifications! I have been a summer camp counselor for my local park district since May of 2011 as well as working for the day care. These positions involved mainly Pre-K/Kindergarten and elementary aged students. I was responsible for organizing and leading interactive activities, identifying and responding to different campers behavior, communicating calmly and effectively with parents, maintaining accurate records (accident reports, allergies), and confidently performing all emergency/safety procedures. These positions also required me to be CPR and first aid certified every 2 years, my current certification is from this past summer and still valid. I have also been a counselor at an over night leadership camp.

Trustline is California's official background check for license-exempt child care providers (i.e. babysitters and nannies) and the only authorized screening program in California with access to fingerprint records at the California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and access to the California Child Abuse Central Index. The Trustline registry toll-free telephone number is 1-800-822-8490.

Pursuant to Section 1596.859 of the Health and Safety Code, parents have the right to receive information regarding any substantiated or inconclusive complaint about licensed child care providers. That information is public and can be acquired by visiting the California Department of Social Services' Internet Web site at "www.cdss.ca.gov".
