Hello! My name is Julia and I just finished college at University, Northridge and I studied music therapy where I received experience using music with young adults and children in hospitals, speech clinics, and other clinics. I am an athletic, musically trained, and fun loving person who is great with kids and loves to babysit. I have been babysitting a young boy from when he was 8-months-old to now and he is 5. I also have experience being a full time nanny to a family with a 6-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl. I am fluent in English and Spanish and I am at a conversational level with American Sign Language (ASL). I have been working with children throughout my entire last year of college doing music therapy with babies and children in the hospital setting and in a speech pathology clinic. I absolutely love taking care of children, and Read more when I can bring music into the mix, I am in my element! My music therapy training has been proven useful in my babysitting experience. I am able to use specific music therapy techniques I have learned to calm infants, as well as engage children in interactive play with musical instruments and songs. I absolutely love babysitting and my love for children has really influenced my future career choice as a music therapist in a children's hospital!
