Hi, my name is Jessica Palmer and I'm 22 years old. I've had lots of past experience working with children with children ages 3 months to 12 years old both in a classroom and home environment. In my work at LaVerkin Elementary as a Teacher's Assistant I helped implement a developmentally-appropriate curriculum for a group of 15 students and supervised children while they were participating in reading, writing activities, educational use of technology, recess and arts + crafts. I also organized small groups of children while transitioning to and from outdoor play. My skills allowed me to maintain a child-friendly environment by encouraging frequent access to outdoor activities. I take a lot of pride and take a lot of enjoyment out of creating a safe and fun environment for young children. I love the personal attention i am able to pay to the children and really get to learn who they are and what they need. Establishing open communication and boundaries creates a relaxing and fun environment where they feel most safe, home! Trips to the park, playing in the yard, reading books, putting on a puppet show, I love helping kids access their most creative self by actively playing and engaging with their surroundings. I have nannying/babysitting experience with young infants through tweens and would love to help out!
