I started with various babysitting job during middle school, high school, and continued through college here and there. My passion to work with children lead me through my Bachelors Degree in Psychology where I focused on research aimed at improving young adult's and children's mental and academic health and development. I currently work as a project coordinator in the Center for Human Development at UCSD. My work involves engaging children ages 4-5 years old in academic learning assessments in their transitional kindergarten classrooms. Prior to working in child development research, I worked with children ages 6-12 who were removed from their homes and placed in court ordered group homes. Through this, I learned patience and understanding. I believe strongly in creating a positive and supportive environment for children that comes from a place of empathy and safety. I am now looking to pick up some additional childcare jobs in order Read more to offer my experience to families who need some extra help, or a much deserved break.
