I am a graduate student at University of San Diego, majoring in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am an aspiring health care professional with experience in developing patient care relationships while building healthier communities. I want to give back to the community by sharing my knowledge, experience, and education to others in performing good work ethics as a role model.  My undergraduate academic background is in Ethnic Studies; establishing cultural awareness and critical thinking skills to examine the complex dynamics between race and ethnicity in the United States.  I have previous volunteer experience at Scripps Mercy Hospital; duties included visiting patients; observe the conditions of each patient while building companionship, insure patient information is confidential , assist nursing staff with patient errands, and observe safety conditions in the hospital.  I have developed excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills, gained through diverse work and volunteer experiences.  My future career goal is to Read more become a Mental Health Counselor.  I currently work as a Counseling Intern at a middle school and worked at San Diego Center for Children as a Residential Counselor; promoting for the well being and safety of children in foster care. I have experience working with the La Mesa school district as a Substitute Paraprofessional and have volunteer experience in assisting second grade students at Nubia Leadership Academy. I am very caring, responsible, and dependent person who enjoys to dance, listen to music, and hang out with my friends during my spare time. Jocelyn was available last minute after another sitter cancelled on us. Thank goodness she is so reliable and on time. Our kids had nothing but good things to say about her.
