My name is Ashley Christine, I go by both names. I am a 29 years, my goal is to an RN. I am Mexican and Black, with a basic understanding of Spanish. I am currently employed as a paraeducator, with the San Diego school district. I primarily work with students who have special needs, brain injuries, and physical handicaps. I have been babysitting for 7 years (paid & unpaid). I have completed approximately 50 hours of volunteer work at a local Boys & Girls Club. I am a very easygoing, fun loving, and patient individual. Right now, I have a 2.5 year old, whom I absolutely adore. I am definitely up for: playing board games, coloring, arts and crafts, games and dress up. Christine reached out to me, and she seemed wonderful. We messaged back and forth for a while, and Christine usually got back to me in a timely manner. We scheduled our interview at 3pm, and my husband, our 3 kids and me planned our entire afternoon around our meeting time. When she didn't show up, I checked my messages at 3:15pm. She wrote that she didn't receive a notification that I had responded (after we had already decided on a day and time) and asked if we could reschedule. I wrote back that we were all here awaiting her arrival, and why was she just now letting me know she never received a response? We were all very disappointed. I wrote that if she was truly interested, we could reschedule. We never heard back from her. This proved to be very unprofessional behavior, and we are relieved this didn't happen when we really needed her.

Christine is a very interactive babysitter. My 8 year old brother would look forward to the days she would care for him. She took time out of her busy schedule to go on a "interview" get together at Dave and busters to see how comfortable my brother was with her. He loved her. She is very caring in the fact that she bought cookie dough and brought it to the house to bake with him. She would help him study his multiplication and division flashcards as well as play various games with him.

We've used Ashley a couple times since she first responded to my job posting. Communication with her is excellent! She confirms with me a few days before, that she is on her way to our home, and on other matters that have made it very easy for me to not worry. Most importantly, the kids enjoyed having her babysit for them and ask when she can come again! I would, and have, recommended her to my own friends.

Ashley has been watching my 3 children for the last 5 months. She is very reliable and the kids just love her. She is always doing things for the kids to keep them busy like watching movies, playing and participating with the Wii and keeps them safe. She has cared for my children overnight and even on short notice. She understands what children need to keep them entertained and out of trouble.
