I love children and have 4 of my own. I have worked closely with children most of my career life and being a Teacher's Assistant to Special Needs Students, has given me that more experience and that more passion for children.  I am insured and I also have a current First Aid & CPR certificate in Infant and Children. I am bilingual in Spanish since it is my native language. I have also Fostered one of my students from 2012-2013 and from 2008-2010 I worked in my church's Infant nursery as a caregiver (Spirit and Truth Worship Center in Twentynine Palms, Ca).

My husband began our search for childcare with really high standards. We were looking for our first non-family member babysitter for our son, Mason. I was going to back to work after being on maternity leave and very nervous about leaving our son with a stranger. We interviewed a lot of people but Selene really stood out to us. She instantly connected with Mason during the first interview. During our second interview she took the time really get to know me and my parenting style. Her home is a safe environment, she has a room designated for the kids with toys and bouncers and pack n plays. Mason was about 4 months old when we started going to Selene. From day one, she was amazing. Every day she would send me pictures of him and let me know what he was doing. My husband and I were using an app called Baby Connect to keep track of Mason’s schedule. She downloaded the app and updated it all day. That really meant a lot to me because even though I was at work, I felt like I was a part of his day and could “check in” on him anytime. I was so sad to leave Selene. The only reason we left was because we moved. I wish we could bring her with us! Selene really was the best thing to happen to our family. We never worried about Mason when he was with her. I 100% recommend her to anyone looking for childcare.

Both my husband and I are in the military and we relocated to San Diego in July. We currently have two girls a ten year old, a 20 month old and one on the way. I tend to be very picky on who watches my girls. I am very protective of them and I always want the best care for them. I searched for a good month having to take a lot of time off work to find the right baby sitter and I finally found Selene. She has been a real blessing and I love how attentive she is to my daughters needs. Her home is very sanitary, and safe for the girls. She always keeps me informed and is constantly sending me pictures and updates. She treats my children as if they are her own. She goes above and beyond for my girls and she does way more for me then she has to. I hope Selene never leaves and continues to care for my girls.

NIGHTMARE. She let her daughter's watch my infant and once I picked her up my daughter had another child's toy in her mouth. Later on through the weekend I came to find my daughter contracted hand-foot-mouth. After a whole blowout with Selene I was desperate for a caregiver being in the Military, so I took my daughter back. I soon got news that my daughter had been accepted into the CDC on base and told Selene 2 wks in advance. Later at work Selene texts me a message saying it was the last time she would watch my daughter & she refused to refund my money for the service she had not fully provided. My Chief read the texts and was very disgusted. She allowed me to leave work early just to get my daughter in fear of my daughter's safety. I picked up my daughter and asked for my money back only to be yelled at & the door slammed on me. I would NEVER recommend her to ANYONE. She seems okay at first but she will scam you in the end.

After the birth of my daughter I was having difficulty finding a caretaker whom I trusted to care for her. I am so happy to have Selene as her caretaker! Selene genuinely cares for and loves the children she babysits. She is very personable and interactive with the children. I never worry about my daughter while she is with Selene. Selene does very well with communicating to you as the parent about anything with going on with your child. Also, she sends pictures and videos of your child throughout the day, which is one of my favorite things! It's really nice to see those, especially if you have a hard time leaving your little one like I do! So basically, overall, we love Selene!! :)

I'm fairly new to San Diego and just had my second child who is 2 months old, and returned to work Full Time. I've been searching extremely hard to find someone trustworthy and who would be a perfect fit for my family. I interviewed Selene and halfway into it, I just knew she was it! She has an amazing personality and I just clicked with her. She provided reference letters which only confirm how great she is! She interacts so well with my son, and understands how important it is to me that he be in great care. She updates me daily with photos and texts to make sure I'm still a part of it all. She logs everything they do daily which is also helpful to see what goes on all day. We plan on staying with her for as long as she'll have us! I'd recommend her any day.
