Hey there! My name is Laura Coleman. I am 25 years old and I grew up in Annapolis, Maryland. I graduated in December 2012 from San Diego State University with a degree in Marine Biology. Currently, I am a biologist with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and a part-time sailing instructor at the Mission Bay Aquatic Center. I love teaching sailing because it challenges me to constantly adjust my teaching style whether I am teaching young children, college students or adults. A passion for and knowledge of ocean sciences has created various opportunities for me to teach marine science to children ages five to fifteen since 2012. I enjoy working with children because it's exciting to introduce them to a new underwater world. I prefer doing outdoor activities in my spare time. I am an avid climber and SCUBA diver.
