Hello all! I'm a native mid-westerner recently moved to lovely Tucson. I've moved around the country while pursuing my education and training to become a psychologist, which I'm excited to say I recently completed! I was a post-doctoral fellow at UC Berkeley providing therapy to college students. It was a great experience! I have come to Tucson to live with my significant other and study for licensure exams, during which I hope to find part-time child care work. My child care background is extensive. Being around children comes very natural to me because I grew up in a large family with 6 younger siblings and many young cousins, nieces, and nephews. I have been babysitting since I was 14 and have experience with all ages ranging from newborns to adolescents. As an adult, babysitting/nannying has been a constant in my life. Most of all, it taps into my love to be around youngsters :-) I have been fortunate to work with countless wonderful families in all of the places I've lived (Michigan, Illinois, and California) for varying amounts of time and duties including watching children for entire weekends, going on family trips, assisting with children's appointments and other activity needs, and working in a day care center. I especially like to incorporate activities such as reading, cooking, coloring, puzzles, playing board games, outside activities/sports, and making crafts whenever possible. I am very open and flexible when it comes to the parents' and children's unique needs, but also recognize the importance of caregiver-family fit :-) If there is something I left out that you'd like to know about myself or past experiences...please feel free to ask!

Natalie cared for my 3.5 yo son and my 1.5 yo nephew in a guest room at a dude ranch while us parents attended a wedding ceremony and reception elsewhere at the ranch. Both kids were instantly engaged with and at ease with Natalie (as were us parents). We were all so pleased with the care and attention she gave to our kiddos, and only wish she lived in our home cities, because we would hire her again in a heartbeat!

A+++++ Natalie is a wonderful sitter and it doesn't get any better. I could go on and on, but I will just keep it simple. Simply put, she is sweet but firm and the kids love her. We have 3 children now: 5, 3, and 1 y/o and Natalie has been wonderful with them. She has no trouble handling all three and is especially aware and knowledgeable with our 3 y/o who has a speech delay and likely on the autism spectrum. Highly recommended!

Natalie is absolutely wonderful - my children immediately felt comfortable with her. On our way out the door we looked in and the children were laughing and enjoying a game of Zingo -all in the matter of 10 minutes upon her arrival. I am always so grateful when my 5 year old wants to know when a sitter can come back and those were the first words out of Bruce's mouth this morning: When can Natalie come back?
