Hello! My name is Liz and I am a 26 year old professional living in Laurel Heights, SF. I have bachelor's degrees in English literature and psychology from Denison University in Ohio and I work in recruiting at law firm downtown. In my spare time I love to play the piano, read, hike, and bake. My babysitting training began when I was about 12 in Buffalo, NY, where I was born and raised. As the eldest of 4 sisters and 15 cousins, I was cheap babysitting for any and all family members (free for my parents). Beyond that, I babysat for several different families in the surrounding neighbors. My first family was 2 boys (3 and 5 when I met them) who I babysat most days and weekend starting when I was in 8th grade until I left for college 5 years later. This was my first real babysitting experience Read more and it taught me a great deal about the joys and hardships that come with children. Another family was of just one boy who was 1 when I starting babysitting for them. He was a premature baby who developed epilepsy after a surgery he underwent when he was just a couple weeks old. I babysat him for 3 summers almost every day and once every week for the rest of the year. While he required more care than other children, I found this babysitting experience most rewarding because of the strength of this child and the family. The last family of note was 3 girls. I had the best and easiest time watching these girls because they reminded me of me and my sisters growing up. The imagination and fun that flows through young child, especially girls, is an enormous amount of fun and always a surprise. I would spend summers during college with these 3 girls and I watched them learn and grow into beautiful young ladies that I still keep in contact with today. I am CPR certified and I would love to supply any reference you might need. I am not allergic to any animals or food and I love all of both of those things. Lastly, I would like to start babysitting because children put life in perspective. They make your big problems and stressors in everyday life seem small and without note and I think we all need a little of that in our lives. I would love to get to know you and your family and I look forward to working with you! Thanks! Liz

Liz was fantastic - very reliable, personable, and kind. I was only in SF for a weekend but wish she lived closer so that she could be our regular babysitter! :)
