Hello! :) My name is Kalin. Nice to meet you! I am a 26 year old college graduate (BA in Child Development with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education) with a diverse background in working with children. My true passion lies within working with toddlers and preschool children. A little on my background with children: I worked as a teacher’s assistant at a home daycare for three years and as a full-time preschool teacher for four years. I am currently working part-time as a preschool substitute teacher. I guide children as they grow mentally, physically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively. I am experienced in supervision, play, arts and crafts, potty training, and education/school preparation. I truly enjoy working with children and enjoy helping them expand their minds, build their motor, social and emotional skills and watch them grow! I have also been an after school Nanny for two school-aged children a Read more little over a year and babysat several children ages ranging 2-6. I also used to be a volunteer tutor for elementary school children. I am CPR and First Aid certified, CA Food Handler Safety certified, and hold a Teacher permit license to teach preschool. I also have a negative TB test. In terms of my education, I studied Child Development at De Anza Community College from 2011-2014 and then transferred to SJSU where I graduated with a BA in 2016. A little bit about my interests: I love to travel and watch documentaries to learn new things! I am also a huge fan of anything nature related and enjoy being outside in the sun.
