As the middle child of seven in my family, I have been raised to be flexible, responsible, and friendly. From a young age, I helped my mom with my three younger siblings, and spent many years changing their diapers, making them lunch, playing with them outside, and eventually taking them to the movies and running their carpools. I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, where I babysat throughout middle and high school for several families in my area. I still receive calls during summer and holiday breaks from many of them, who tell me their kids love when I come over. I think my greatest strongpoint as a babysitter is my ability to be fun and energetic with the kids while remaining authoritative. As a babysitter, I realize that parents are entrusting me to treat their children with respect and kindness, while keeping them safe and well-cared for. I have watched Read more children on every level of the spectrum, ranging from wild and unruly to shy and mellow. Further, I am confident in my ability to handle any situation that comes my way, whether that means cleaning up spilled spaghetti sauce or mediating a fight between toddlers. As far as other experience goes, I am CPR certified and used to work as a camp counselor and lifeguard during high school at YMCA Camp Ernst in Burlington, KY. Throughout high school, I also tutored elementary-aged students in inner-city Cincinnati. Two years ago, I worked as an assistant in a kindergarten classroom at Scott Lane Elementary through Santa Clara University's Arrupe program.
