Hello! I am a stay-at-home mom of a 16 month old. Before being a mom, I had many years of childcare from newborns to teenagers. I am looking to have a very part-time position for both, extra income and for more child-interaction for my little one. She absolutely loves other kids, shares well, is gentle, very goofy and sweet. I would like if the child could be in our home during the shift, instead of us being at the family's home. I also have two small, gentle dogs (chihuahuas) that interact well with little ones. We live right by the Belmont library/ Belameda Park and love to go there on nice afternoons. Most recently, I was a nanny for a family for two children from ages 2 1/2 and 5 years old for just under 3 years. Any weird eating phases, I've prepared for them. Helped break daily tantrums, daily homework, helping with kids fights with friends, wearing a princess dress everyday, boo boo's, learning chores, learning to ride a bike, etc I have been through it and love every stage. I am rarely caught off guard and don't get stressed or embarrassed often. During the time I was with that family, I helped other families on my off days from one family with a 5 year old who needed to be worn out to another family with a newborn and twin 2 year olds...and a very tired mother. Before them, I worked for a family with their first child from age 5 weeks to 3 months until they had to move away for work. Before them, a family with a 6, 8 and 10 year old. The list goes on and back many years. I love kids and pets. I love playing games, painting, experiments/getting dirty, outdoor adventures, reading books, puppet shows, box play/forts and singing. I do all I can to prepare healthy, homemade meals for my little and can do the same for yours if you would like. I also am a professional baker and would love to occasionally make something with the kiddos if they are of a capable age and would enjoy it.
