Hey parents! My name is Shayna and I am an artsy and active nanny who LOVES to read. I currently live in San Mateo and have lived in the Bay Area my whole life. I have been a babysitter and nanny for 10 years (references available!) I am LiveScan registered, CPR/First Aid Certified, and I have worked as a swim instructor and lifeguard for 7+ years. I graduated from Notre Dame High School and studied at San Jose State University 2008-2014. I originally decided to become a babysitter in 2004 because I am the oldest in my generation and I often took care of my two little sisters and cousins. I am a kid at heart and love playing with anything from Legos to Barbies, from arts & crafts to video games. I especially love reading to (or with!) kids. I am comfortable with children of all ages! I don't Read more have any lifestyle rules (dietary restrictions, religious followings, etc.) that would affect how I care for someone else's children; I have grown up with a very open view on religion and lifestyle. I have one very easy-going little boy. He comes with me to childcare jobs with toddlers. He is very social! As a working mom, this allows me the freedom of working and keeping my son close. Because I have my son with me, my rates are reasonably affordable because I don't need to hire a nanny for him! I frequently worked with multiple children even before my son was born, so rest assured, I know how to keep everyone entertained! He turned 1 in September 2015 and is now walking and talking a lot! I look forward to chatting and if you feel like I may be a good fit for your family, we can arrange for an initial meeting! All the best, Shayna
