Hi my name is Nia. I have been working with children since the age of ten. Being the oldest in my family which made me the free babysitter for all family members. Some examples of tasks I completed included cleaning, cooking, washing up, and making sure the children were in bed. Performing these tasks helped me figure out my purpose in my life which is to help our youth prosper and become great and rise up from the struggles of this world. I started working with a non profit organization called Yes in Richmond,CA where I worked with children, teens, and sometimes adults teaching them the importance of exercising and having a healthy diet being while living in a food desert like Richmond. We also took teens hiking around 14-18 to places like Yosemite national park, Tilden park, and point Reyes National seashore for over a period of days in Read more which I was responsible for a group of Teens. Children younger than that usually go on the one day hikes or camping. After I finished working for Yes, I worked at an Early Learning Center where I performed daily task such as sanitizing and cleaning , controlling conflicts and defusing them, handling snack measurements, and teaching curriculum and still is currently working there hope to hear for you any questions please do not hesitate to ask :)
