Hello, My name is Daniel Alva, I am an enthusiastic and energetic educator. I currently work at the California Teaching Fellows Foundation as a Site Lead for the Cesar E. Chavez After School Program. I have had the great honor of serving the Parlier community for 9 years now. As a tutor, I have worked with kids from Kinder to 12th grade. A passion of mine has been soccer and through the sport, I am able to not only teach kids a game but how to work with others towards a common goal. I am the second oldest of 4 children. I have two brothers and one sister. I used to babysit all of them, yes even the oldest. I was the one always tasked with babysitting when the younger two were born and I also had to make sure that the oldest was fed. Since I was nine I Read more learned the hard work that a mother is tasked with; my mom would come home from work just to work some more. So I made sure that I did my best to help her the most I could. I learned at a young age the importance and the ease of mind a parent has knowing that they have a trusted person taking great care of their child.
