I became a caregiver because I loved working with kids from a young age. I found that I had a natural ability to tune into their needs. People have always been astounded with my ability to understand children. In addition to this, it is work that I immensely enjoy. In college I minored in Child Development. I found that studying this type of course work greatly enhanced my ability to be a good teacher/caregiver. My philosophy centers around being very present with children and getting down to their level while empowering them to pursue their own passions. Through the years I have worked as a nanny, swim instructor, tutor, camp counselor, and pre-school teacher.
