Meet Amy

  • Comfortable with pets

I have eleven years of casual babysitting experience and two years of professional full-time nanny experience. The first family I was a full-time nanny for had five children ranging in ages 3-9 years old, two of which had Autism Spectrum Disorder. My duties included, but were not limited to: getting the kids ready for school, driving them, assisting with homework, grocery shopping, laundry, light housekeeping, and overseeing meetings with ABA therapist. I grew to be very close with the parents and children, but I decided to move to Australia. My nanny experience extends abroad, having cared for three different families in Sydney, Australia for six months. The first family had two children ages newborn and 19 months, the second family had one 6 month old, and the third had two children ages 2 years old and 8 years old. The older child was living with a rare chromosomal disorder. My Read more duties ranged from: preparing bottles, cooking healthy meals, putting them down for naps, play therapy, OT therapy, trips to the park, picking up from school, small errands, and light housekeeping. I personally think that childhood is the most influential time in an individual's life. It is very important to have positive role models that help them grow intellectually, creatively, and emotionally. I love working with children and being that positive role model outside of the family for them. Before my current role, I worked at an elementary school as an aide to children with special needs. I decided to enter a more business professional environment, so I am currently working at a wealth management company in San Francisco. Certifications: Heartsaver CPR AED Seizure Training
