I have always enjoyed taking of children, and have been doing so in a familial setting since I was 15 years old. At this early age I had already developed the maturity, confidence and nurturing instincts that allowed my aunt to feel comfortable asking me to care for her three children, while she worked in the evening. This experience continuous to be an asset to me, 11 years later in caring for my own 3-year-old son, A. Similarly, I know that my own experience as a mother has imbued me with an intimate understanding of a child's needs, their developmental stages, and the type of boundary that best facilitate their exploration of the environment around them. Additionally, as a mother myself, I can empathize with a parent's desire to insure their child receives the highest standard of care, by someone with integrity, education and common sense.
