In 2017 I graduated from the UofA with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I specialized in child development, a decision I felt comfortable with after being raised in an Education setting. My mother is a K-1 teacher at the school I attended, and that early-on became my family community. I am from a family of teachers. When I was a senior in high school, I began nannying full time for a 10-year-old boy. It was an eye opening experience that shaped my passion for childcare. In college, I worked for the United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Arizona as an Applied Behavioral specialist for a young girl with Autism. I truly felt a part of that family and learned so much about myself and human behavior throughout the course of that job. After college, I wasn't sure what to do so I chose to teach Read more English in Thailand. I attended a 3-week training course and upon completion, I began teaching math to 3rd and 4th graders. I love to babysit because children have a light in them that many of us adults unfortunately, slowly lose with time. Their curiosity is so naive, yet boundless.
