Hi there! My name is Alex Jones. I'm 19 and currently studying music technology/digital audio technology at Foothill college. I have 5 years of lifeguarding experience, and am fully certified in all lifeguard emergency care certifications(lifeguard/first aid, cpr/aed, bloodborne pathogens). I have two years of camp counseling experience at a Juvenile Diabetes 5-day overnight camp (first year cabin was seven 8-10 year olds, second year cabin was twelve 13-17 year olds). I myself am also a 7 year Diabetic, so I have a fair amount of experience in some medical practices. I can give shots and other simple medical procedures. I have a lot of experience with Type 1 Diabetes in particular, and would consider myself very well educated on the subject. As a person, I am very light-hearted, kind, and love to have fun! I love entertaining others, I can be a bit of a goof sometimes, but all Read more in good fun. I do also know how to be serious. Like I previously stated, working with kids for a week has taught me a lot. I have received a lot of training on how to deal with children, as a camp counselor and swim instructor. I am patient, understanding, and willing to listen. I can be firm when needed, but I usually like to keep things light and positive. I always have more to learn, and I know that every experience has something to teach, especially in child care. I am very active, and will be hard pressed to be tired out by anything. As someone who previously was diagnosed with depression(cured), I also have a lot experience with communicating feelings and emotions. My hobbies include dancing, making music, and studying(yes, you read that right). I thoroughly believe that younger generation is our future, and do my best to be an active role model for them. If there's any questions you have for me, feel free to shoot me an e-mail and I love to talk to you! :)
