Hi! My name is Candice, I am a 19 year old college student currently enrolled at El Camino College as a Nursing major. I have experience working with children as young as 4 to as "old" as 15. I have been volunteering at Bennett Kew Elementary School in Inglewood since the age of 12 where I've had responsibilities that include helping kingergarten youngsters with their ABCs, anxious 3rd graders with catching bugs in the grass, or big bad 5th graders with reffing a game of kickball. I also recently began volunteering at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance. Here, I have been fortunate enough to be able to assist with making patients as fragile as newborns and mommys in the Labor and Delivery department as comfortable as possible or ensuring the 10 year old who broke his arm trying to be the next Tony Hawk has enough blankets to Read more keep warm while he waits in the ER (and enough tissues for Mom). I am the oldest of 3 so I grew up babysitting not only my own siblings, but also children of family and family friends. I have experience volunteering at doggy daycares and pet adoption clinics so animals are not a problem for me. I am punctual, organized, reliable, creative and I love being active. Sports or (almost) anything outdoors are a definite go-to activity, however, I am always ready with activities that anyone would enjoy. I hope I can be the perfect fit for your family!
