Hello I am a loving Mother to a 17 year old high school senior, I am very proud. I am currently working on my last semester in Child Development and Family Studies at Solano Community College. I am also in process of opening a licensed daycare. Although my daughter is 17 years of age, I have many years of caring for children. Prior to going down the path to become a licensed daycare provider, I have worked 6 years as a para-educator. The majority of those years have been for children with special needs. I have worked with all age groups within K-12 grades. I love working with children. I love to teach them and help them grow. It is has been studied and proven that children learn their most valuable lessons through play. Play successfully gives children their gateways into learning the world. Play stimulates cognitive development, social/emotional development, Read more fine motor skills, and gross motor skills. I like to use play as a foundation for teaching enrichment. If the children are interested and having fun the lesson being taught is always more successful.
