Meet Lori

  • Comfortable with pets
  • Has a car

I started working with children when I had the opportunity to teach a kid's acting class. My work with children started there. It morphed into directing plays for children, writing plays and musicals with them and running a children's musical theatre summer camp. I began substitute teaching long ago and I love it because of the flexibility it affords me because as well as being an educator, babysitter and caregiver, I am an actor and writer. I'm great with kids because I have tremendous respect for them and I find them to be creative, imaginative, honest and hilarious. They have great instincts have a great sense of detecting truth and kindness. I have worked with very diverse and varied populations of kids including children with special needs. I adopted my daughter from foster care when she was a teenager.
