I started babysitting at the ripe old age of 11 years old! My first job was taking care of a 2 week old baby and his 11 month old sister. The parents had observed me caring for babies in community gathering situations and saw how loving & responsible I was about it, that's what prompted them to hire me. I took care of those babies for about 3 years until the family moved away, in addition to sitting regularly for many other families in my town for a solid 8 years. As an adult I moved into customer service & sales jobs, had two amazing children myself, (now adults), and have continued to offer baby & childcare to my sisters & friends through the years. I have always loved babies & children, and take delight in caring for & playing with them. I consider it an honor to care for Read more little ones, and I can think of no better way to spend my free time. I work from home doing freelance PR and social media management part time, and have chosen to do babysitting on the side as well. With this set up I have a good amount of flexibility with my schedule, which makes it easier for the families I sit for. I am energetic, creative & fun. I would much rather be playing with, reading to, or creating art with children than having them watch TV or play video games for hours.
