My name is Tia Welton and I love being around very young children and thoroughly enjoy playing, creating, laughing, and teaching them. I am a big advocate of being kind, intuitive, and fair. I have an Associate Degree and 7 years of experience as an Infant, Toddler, and Preschool teacher. I was employed at MATTEL(the toy company) Child Development Center but due to my passion for infants I decided to begin my own center. Six years ago, I also volunteered working at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in the newborn nursery comforting and assisting newborns to become more comfortable and acquainted with this new realm of life. I was liked and enjoyed so much by the staff that I was offered a paying position as a newborn photographer that allowed me to share the joy with the new parents by taking their newborn’s very first hospital picture. My experiences not only include taking care of newborns, infants, toddlers in a school setting but also on a more personal level as I was employed as a nanny for 5 families part-time which I loved dearly. The children who I have watched, most always form a special bond with me, and I with them. I am looking for a family that realizes that this position as your child’s caregiver is extremely important and has a immense and imperative impact in your child's life such as: building up a positive self-image, self motivation, and development of the next stage in their over-all life coping skills.

Tia was our daycare provider for both our children 3 months to age 2. And then occasionally as a sitter ongoing for the last 5 years. She loves what she does for a living in childcare, and it really shows through in her attentiveness and attention to detail and love of children. We cannot recommend Tia enough for your childcare needs, whatever they would be, your children would be in the best of hands with her.
