Hello! I am a nurturing and enthusiastic caregiver/educator who hails from Chicago and have been living in the L.A. area for almost 8 years. I have been a long-term nanny for 2 wonderful families but their needs are changing and I am seeking either full or part-time employment. I hold a B.F.A. in Theatre and Performance art and a Master's Degree in Education. I have been working with children for over 16 years and my professional experience is extensive. In addition to my nannying experience I spent 4 years working at the incredible Frances Xavier Warde school in Chicago. During my time there I worked as a teacher, working in both second grade and kindergarten. I also served as the Director of the Afterschool Program and as the founding Director of their academic summer program, Camp Jaguar. After moving to California I worked as the Center Director of Tutor Time, Read more an early preschool and learning center with students aged 6 weeks to 12 years. In late 2012 I stepped away from that position in order to devote more time to my art career (photography and fine art) but I do very much miss my work with children. As a nanny you will find me prompt, professional and incredibly creative. As an educator I understand that every child learns and experiences things in different ways and I am able to quickly adapt in order to meet a child's individual needs. My ability to provide an educational aspect to my care giving and my deep love of children would make a great addition to any family. I also LOVE dogs and have two of my own, a bundle of energy named Detective John McClane and a sweet couch potato named Marcelle. While I don't have any children of my own yet, I have an incredibly close relationship with my 14 year old godson and definitely look forward to starting a family someday.
