Hello my name is Darby and I have over 6 years experience in childcare, such as experience in Residential, Daycare, and Home School settings. I try to make it a goal to form a bond with the children and parents I nanny for while still respecting their boundaries and privacy. I am trained in Pediatric CPR, First Aid, Basic Life Support, and AED, and soon to be ALS. At the moment I am taking, Advanced Infant to Toddler Care & Safety through the Red Cross, and will be finished shortly. Some of my current classes include; Inclusive Care- Infants & Toddlers ,Conflict Resolution Between Children,Activity Based Support for Children with Different Developmental & Functional Needs,Ensuring Healthy Habits, Emergency Planning,Nutrition,Safety & Prevention, and various other Development based classes. I spent time working at a facility for Foster Youth, Inclusive Care, and with children with severe medical conditions.I mainly worked with ages 5 Read more and under in Transition Care. My responsibilities were to supervise, dress, change, feed, and give each infant/toddler individual time, as well as promote positive socializing between other children. Working in that environment gave me some experience with Walbarger Brushing Protocols. I am aware of the dangers of SIDS, & have been trained in Safe Sleeping Practices for Infants. I've had multiple Babysitting/Nanny positions in the past from kids 16 yrs-1 mo, and have always felt positive about my experiences. I feel very comfortable in my ability to care for the daily needs and demands of toddlers and infants such as hygiene routines, nap/bedtime routines, organizing age appropriate activities, and being emotionally & intellectually supportive to their growth. I can watch multiple children if needed,I also have no problems with watching your child if he or she is ill, or the occasional overnight if needed. The number of children I would be comfortable watching might change depending on if any special accommodations need to be made . I am open to taking any classes you would feel more comfortable with, just let me know ahead of time so arrangements can be made. Light house work, Laundry, Meal Prep/Cooking, Pets/Pet Care is all fine.I love animals and spending time outdoors. Short notice calls are OK. Than
