I have grown up babysitting my little brother who is 5 years younger than me and is on the Autisum spectrum. Due to babysitting my brother (who is high functioning) I do have some experience with working with kids in the Autisum spectrum. Also due to my day job I have worked with children who had specials needs as well. I have worked the last 3 years as an after school instructional aide 2 of which I spent working with kindergartners and the last year was spent working with a 4/5th combo class. For one client, I was only used once before they moved, I cared for a boy and a girl for around 5 hours. During that time we built puzzles, did crafts and I prepared a light meal for their lunch. I have CPR and first aide training as well.
