Hello, My name is Carina and after taking a couple years off from babysitting to switch careers and become a health coach, I am looking to begin babysitting again. My schedule is very open and flexible since I have my own business and set my own hours. I have cared for and worked with children since I was in early elementary. I ran an in home daycare for 10 years and worked as a helper for 10 years before. I love interacting with children. I find no joy in turning the tv on and vegging out for hours at a time. I love to show kids how to make healthy food choices and show them how fun it is to live an active life. Going to the park, running around playing games, talking to them and playing on the floor with them are ways that I will spend my hours Read more with them. I am very hands on and only answer my phone when the parent calls or texts. Thank you so much for reading this and considering me.

So I hired Carina short notice because my usual nanny who me and my son both adore, works in Camarillo during the day. I told her before I left that my son had to finish his homework, I had leftovers in the refrigerator for dinner, and his bedtime was at 8:30. "Call me if you have any questions". Came home my son was asleep in the clothes that he had gone to school in earlier that day. Told myself fine I'll have him shower in the morning then. So the next morning I wake him early to take a shower. I look over his homework and whata'ya know it's NOT finished. On the front oh his homework packet it states what he has to do each day for homework. Here I am rushing to have him complete it before he has to turn in his packet(like mornings aren't hectic enough!). Not to mention she left the blender she used in the sink. I have no problem whatsoever if any caregiver uses any of my appliances for personal drinks or whatever. But to leave it in the sink!? Maybe she has never heard the saying you can always do more but you can never do less. Never leave a home worse than what you found it. While dropping my son off to school I asked "why were you sleeping in your clothes, didn't the sitter tell you to take a bath?" His response: "no". Lastly, I saw that the leftovers that I had cooked were still in the fridge(which is fine if he wanted to eat something different), but there was also half a can of spaghetti. Who puts an open can of food in the refrigerator? Apparently she does! I am a single military mom who works hard and long, I can not afford this kind of care. When a parent leaves a child in the care of a sitter or nanny, they shouldn't have to stress or worry about what kind of care that child will receive. I am beyond annoyed. I felt like I wasted my hard earned money on subpar service. The positive in this is that my son is fine, unharmed and in one piece which shouldn't even be a question.
