I come from a big family so I have naturally gotten to know what it is like to play and care for children. I have nannied my nephew of 7 years-old for a whole summer, as well as babysat for my other nieces and nephews during the course of 4 years. Throughout highschool I babysat a family of 4 twice a week. I made sure dinner was made and homework was finished. I enforced rules while still keeping a playful and fun environment. Two years in college I was a day-care provider at St. Mel's after-school care. I would help children from grades K-8th with homework, provide activities for them, and play outdoor games with them. I love children and Im very creative in learning and growing with them. Im very good at paying attention to their emotions and needs even when it seems irrational. The children at the school grew to love my exciting and playful attitude but at the same time respected me and the rules I enforced.
