My name is Chloe and my two passions are music and taking care of children. I began caring for children at 8 years old after the birth of my brother. Because of the age gap and how often I babysat, I practically got to raise him myself, and I consider that a huge privilege. It really taught me all the basics of taking care of a child and how to reason with one in a difficult situation. At 13, my mom's friends started offering to pay me to babysit their children sporadically on date nights and occasionally after school, which I did until my sophomore year of high school. Around that time, I started volunteering at The Adult Skills Center helping mostly adults and sometimes children with special needs. It really expanded my understanding of individuals all over the spectrum and with all sorts of situations. I also spent time Read more that year volunteering at the Guadalupe Center providing free tutoring to kids ages 6 through 13. Last year, I worked my first real job as a lice clinician (better known as a nitpicker.) Because of that, I can say 2 things with complete certainty: I am very patient and I can definitely get rid of lice! I am currently pursuing an associates degree in audio production with the aspiration of becoming an audio engineer. Recently, I began babysitting a toddler for a few hours in the morning on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but otherwise my schedule is open and I’m always happy to help!
