I started babysitting when I was 12 years old. I babysat various neighbor's children. I took a Babysitting course when I was in Girl Scouts. I was the second oldest of 6 kids in my family and helped my Mother by taking care of my younger siblings when needed. I babysat all the way through Junior High and High School and even when I was away at college. I worked in the Nursery at any church I attended. I married a man with 3 children and loved them. They were 4, 6 and 8 years old when I met them. We were married 2 1/2 years later so I became a Step-Mother. I put my whole heart and soul into raising those children. They are grown and have children of their own. I have one grand-daughter who is 8 years old. I love her very much and wish we lived Read more closer together so I could see her and play with her more often. She lives in Eagle, CO. I keep in close touch with her. I became a Mother of two children. I was a very Hands-on and very doting Mother and was very extremely involved with all their education and activities. They were in Scouts, sports, school and church activities and excelled at everything they did. I played with them and taught them everything they would need to know in life and how to assume responsibilities. My son is now 37 years old and my daughter is 35 years old. I have had certifications in First Aid and CPR for infants and adults. I need to take a current course and be certified in those courses.
