I have experience watching children ranging in ages from 4 months old to 11 years old, with up to two children at a time. During my sophomore year, I cared for the two daughters of a dean from my college (ages 7 and 11). I was responsible for picking up both girls at school, then when we safely arrived at their house I provided them with a small after-school meal. I also had to make sure both girls finished all their homework and practiced their instruments. After their practicing was done, we would always play dolls, a board game, or invent a game of our own. In the years following, I occasionally cared for an energetic 2-year-old boy providing him with meals, diaper changes, bedtime routines complete with a bath and story, and lots of play time to keep him entertained. I also cared for a baby girl from the Read more age of 4 months until her family relocated when she was 14 months. I watched her any where from 2 to 6 days/nights a week. This involved regular diaper changing, bottle feeding then later evolving to solid foods, daily baths, nap-time, lullabies, and of course various activities to help her develop. I come from a big rambunctious family filled with lots of children so I find comfort in lots of activity and fun :) I understand that leaving your little one in the hands of another can make one apprehensive, which is why I always do my best to give any child in my care all the love and attention they deserve.
