I started babysitting six years ago when my nephew was born. I quickly learned to care for an infant by meeting his every needs, such as changing diapers, bathing him, preparing formula, and safely playing with him. As he grew up, I learned to keep him busy by playing outside, reviewing the alphabet, learning his numbers and colors, baking cookies, drawing and coloring, reading and making sure he was safe while having fun! Along with caring for him, I was a camp host at a local rock climbing gym in Texas. I worked with children ages 5 to 13 at summer and holiday climbing camps. I would teach them basic climbing skills while simultaneously making sure they were engaged in creative rock climbing games. In the fall of 2012 through the spring of 2013 I was able to give back to the rock climbing community I had been involved with Read more for nine years by coaching the pre team, ages 4 to 13. I would work with a group of at least six kids and teach them safety, climbing techniques, work ethic, and mind set. Everything we worked on was to prepare the children for the competitive climbing team they would soon be apart of. The best part of this job was developing great friendships with the kids and watching them progress in a sport they loved!
