Hello everyone! My name is Madi Tehven and I absolutely adore kids! I am currently a 22-year-old student at the University of Colorado in Boulder and I am attending school to receive an undergraduate degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance as well as a Masters degree in Accounting with an emphasis in Tax. I was born in Kansas, but I have lived all over the world, including Nigeria, Africa and Houston, Texas, but have spent the last 10 years living in Highlands Ranch and Boulder, Colorado. I love playing volleyball (well any sport really), swimming, snowboarding, playing outside, doing puzzles and hanging out with my family and friends. In my final (5th year) of college, my classes are very spread out which leaves me a lot of time to be working and because of my rigorous class schedules in the last four years, I have not Read more been able to do any working besides internships over the summers. Therefore, I do not have any recent care-giving experience. However, I babysat all of my neighbors (anywhere from 1 year old to 12 years old) on weekends/special occasions when I was in high school and was a nanny to two children (5 and 7) for 40 hours a week during my summer going into college. Being a nanny that summer included helping the kids with word/math problems, fixing lunch and occasionally breakfast, driving them to the pool, walking the kids and the dog to the park to play and assisting their parents in whatever way necessary. Even though my experience is not recent, it is present. I am a very enthusiastic, fun and energetic person, but I am also responsible, organized and reliable which is shown through my work outside of care-giving. I love being goofy and playing with the kids, but am stern with them when I need to be. I have a true love of being around children as I want three when I am older and married and I see any babysitting/nanny occasion as an opportunity to make a positive difference in my life and in the lives of your children.
