I love children and truly miss being a nanny. I used to take care of two young girls, whom I loved like my own. As with all children, they grew up and didn’t need me anymore. I took several semesters of early childhood education. I am familiar with Montessori methods of education, but my true love is the work of Lilian Katz. She had such a flair for teaching and children! I have my CPR certification. I do not believe in allowing children to sit and watch television for hours. I always plan fun, creative and educational activities for the children I care for. I am a very neat individual who secretly loves cooking and cleaning. I love preparing healthy meals! I have ample experience in special needs care, both in cognitive disabilities and autism spectrum. I grew up with my older sister who has downs syndrome. I was a Read more behavioral assistant in college working with a young man with severe autism. I am familiar with handling behavioral issues and can follow and create plans to reduce occurrences of behaviors targeted for reduction. I do not smoke and own a 2012 Honda Civic with a perfect driving record and current insurance.
