So you have a little one that needs to be cared for? I hope you will consider what I have to offer your child. It's a wealth of knowledge, love, support and nurturing. We will have fun with age appropriate activities and your child will be cared for while you are away doing what you need to do. Maybe that is providing for your family, out on a date night with your spouse or just taking a much needed break for a day. At this time, I'm looking for part time child care opportunities where I can care for your children the way you want a person to care for them when you are not there, knowing they are safe with me. I started caring for children at the age of 10 and have not stopped since. Because I'm about to be an empty nester, I have more time to dedicate to helping mentor and foster the healthy development of children in a positive and nurturing way at this time. For the past 23 years, I have balanced a life of professionally working with at-risk youth, trauma and caring for kids. My own as well as others. I am comfortable with children of any age range from babies to working with teenagers and young adults. For 10 years, I volunteered as a scout leader where I had anywhere from 10-23 children in my troop. We planned fun and age appropriate activities as well as gave the children core living skills. I volunteered as a co-director in a children's Shakespeare Theater for a grade school drama program in Colorado Springs for many years as well. I know I am probably not the typical babysitter with my professional background, but I bring understanding, compassion and great love to all I do while promoting healthy boundaries and respect.
