Starting in sixth grade I began babysitting for my neighbors' newborn, and did so regularly during the subsequent 6 years as their next two children were born. I spent the three summers following high school graduation as a camp counselor at Christian summer camps in both southern Illinois and Santa Cruz, California. I was a certified lifeguard from 2009 to 2012 and generally feel very comfortable in the water. I am currently CPR and first aid certified.
