Besides raising an amazing 16-year-old daughter who has not given us a day's worry, and my challenging (and super rewarding) 8-year-old son with Autistic behaviors, I have taught Sunday School on and off for 23 years. Those kiddos became my kiddos, too. I taught Elementary PE, and Kindergarten in a private school setting. I have had many Speech Pathology Assistantships through my undergraduate and graduate school years, which allowed me to work with children with special needs ages 4-16. I have many years of customer service experience in high-stress situations, through which I felt like I was helping 50-year-old children deal with their emotions, too! :D I'm not certified in any way, but I have my calm demeanor, and loving nature to guide my interactions with other adults and their children.
