Originally from Iowa, I have been living in Denver since 2010. As a teenager, I babysat for several families in my hometown. In the summers, I nannied for families with 2-3 children each. Further, I babysat often for families while in college to earn some extra cash. When I first moved out to Denver, I began nannying full-time for a family with three children in Boulder. When I started, the children were 4, 2, and newborn. It is crazy to believe they are 7, 5, and 3 now!! I worked for the family full-time for 1.5 years and only stopped working for them in order to begin my Masters in Social Work program at University of Denver. While nannying in Boulder, I spent the days transporting the children to preschool/kindergarten, playing at the park and having picnics, swimming at the indoor and outdoor pools, and creating games and art activities. Read more The family did not allow the children to watch TV or play on the computer so I got very creative when it came to keeping the children entertained and happy. I graduated with my Masters degree in June of 2013. Since then, and while I was in school, I have been babysitting for one family on a relatively consistent basis. The children in this family are currently 2 yrs and 9 months old. I currently work for a non-profit organization that advocates for the well-being of children in the child welfare system. I enjoy babysitting and spending time with children as it keeps me busy and reminds me of the innocence of children that is too often taken away from them, as I witness in my line of work. I am energetic, passionate, and have an extensive background in child care. I promise I will care for your children just as you would and ensure you that they are safe in my care.
