My name is Danielle and I am a sophomore at the University of Colorado Denver. Overall, I have been babysitting since I was thirteen and had a job teaching children from four months old to twelve years for four years. I am now teaching children from age one to about sixyears of age. I am also first aid and CPR certified. Further details are located below. Age 13 - current: Babysitting My family used to do foster care, and overall we fostered over a dozen children. We ended up adopting two of them. The first little girl we adopted was a year and a half old, and then two years later we adopted a baby two days after she was born. They are now five and seven. I've always helped with them and babysat for my parents. I would also babysit for some of my dad's work friends. Now I Read more babysit for families who go to the gymnastic place I used to teach at. Overall, I have babysat children from infant to about ten years old. Age 13-16: Worked in the church nursery I began by volunteering in my church nursery and ended up becoming a paid employee. I would help watch children from one year of age to about six and teach them different lesson plans. Age 13-16: VBS Every year I would volunteer for my church’s VBS. I would get a group of children and take them through different stations. Age 16-20: The Little Gym The Little Gym is an organization that offers gymnastic classes for children from four months old to twelve years. I worked as a lead and assist gymnastic instructor there. They also offer birthday parties, which I would organize and instruct. Age 20-present: Great Play Great Play is a gym for children ages six months to ten years which offers classes to further develop motor, sports, and social skills, which are meant to set the stage for their confidence and physical fitness. They also offer birthday parties which the staff organizes and instructs.
