A New York native who recently made the move out to Denver, I am currently doing freelance event production work that has provided me a conveniently flexible schedule. Growing up in a fairly large Irish-Italian family in New York, I've been around kids my whole life. I started "mommy assisting" / babysitting when I was 11 and loved it more than anyone has ever loved a job. I did whatever it took to get the calls - from Red Cross training to leaving homemade flyers in all the neighbors' mailboxes. I eventually earned the unofficial title of 'Favorite Neighborhood Babysitter' in my suburban neighborhood by the time I left for college. Though I've spent the last 6 years working on a career outside of caregiving, babysitting for colleagues and neighbors who need a 'date night' has always been something I love doing on the side.
