I am not convinced those other 'rave' reviews are credible and would recommend to anyone considering hiring Carissa to confirm these reviews with the families. I needed a live in nanny last summer for my three children. I paid for her to come here from Chicago where she claimed to have been a teacher, (however I don't think that was true). And basically all she wanted to do was party with whatever new friends she made at her weekend music festivals. She spent much of her time texting potential 'friends' on Match.com and then sharing those texts with my children. She would stay out late/sometimes not come home and/or sleep in late and I'd have to wake her up at 8:30 AM so I could leave for work. I found her completely incompetent and anything but "energetic". After she accepted employment/moved into our home she shared with me she had a few DUI's.

Carissa is a sweet person, and interviewed well over the phone - but when she came to our home to nanny for the summer we were disappointed by her poor judgment and misrepresentation of skills. Her profile says she speaks Spanish - but she doesn't. Also she seemed more interested in communicating with online 'friends', and scheduling social events for herself than watching the children. She texted a lot and shared some of her texts with my kids. Which we felt was inappropriate. I read the other two comments - so perhaps this was just an anomaly, but that was our experience.

Carissa was a fantastic babysitter. I felt so comfortable with her watching my son while on vacation in a new city-she truly felt like family. I highly recommend Carissa for anyone's babysitting needs-she was confident, responsible, and energetic. She was very accommodating with our schedule as well and always on time and so sweet. She truly went out of her way for us and I so appreciated her. Thank you so much Carissa!! Will be calling you back when we are back in Chicago!

Carissa spent this summer with our family and cared for our three children ages 4-14. Immediately on her first day, Carissa was able to establish herself within our home and build a trusting and respectful relationship with each child. She was exceptional at developing a fun, structured learning program for my girls which greatly advanced their reading, literacy, and socialization skills. She also strengthened their maturity, independence, and appreciation for strong values...all in a summer! In addition to caring for the children, Carissa assisted me in keeping the house in order. Carissa ran short errands and assisted in daily household tasks. Carissa demonstrated the ability to be very flexible and adaptable to our changing needs, was extremely accommodating to any request that was asked of her in a busy household, and has an extremely fun, youthful and positive demeanor that the children and the entire family came to love! I strongly recommend Carissa and give her my highest marks for the remarkable role she played in creating a memorable and safe experience for my children this summer!

I interviewed Carissa on the phone and in our home for our position and she was in my top 2 out of 61 applications. Very experienced, great references, professional yet fun.
